I can't seem to get the DVI connector to output video. I am using the DVI to VGA adapter on a Viewsonic A90f+ 19" monitor.
When I place the monitor cable on the DVI out, the monitor goes black and the green LED on the monitor turns from green to orange.

Can someone help out?

Thanks again,

You have to enable the second monitor. After installing the second monitor, go to the Advanced Display Properties> Displays section and you'll see the secondary monitor section with a red button in the top left corner - click on the button to enable it.

Do I have to literally have a second monitor hooked up to do this? Because, I cant see a way to enable the second monitor as of right now.
Thanks for your help by the way.

Umm no, normally the VGA BIOS detects the monitor(s) and enables the outputs. Are you sure this card of yours does have a DVI-I connector (w/ analog signal as needed for the CRT) or just DVI-D (digital, useful only for actual DVI devices)?

Peter, that is an excellent question, one that would require a bit more research on my part.
All I can say right now is that it is a built by ATI Radeon 9500pro 128MB 3.0ns Infineon Memory.
It has VGA (15pin) out, DVI, and S-Video for TV out. Other than that, I just dont know about the purely digital out
of the DVI.

I will check it out but if you can help based on this info, please do. Thanks,

Nope, my monitor is analog only. Well I guess I'm answering all my own questions here.
I think I'm getting a little to dependant on the forums for help instead of finding out info on my own like
I used to. But I still always appreciate the help as always.

Go to display properties advanced, click on display see if your monitor is listed on the dvi connector. Analog monitors should work since the card comes with the adapter.

Viper, would it be possible for you to send me a screen shot of the display property window that your referring to?
I just want to make sure I even have this capability.
Just get to the display window, make sure the focus is on it. Then hit ALT+PrintScreen.
Then open Microsoft paint and paste it in there. Save it and send to my email address in my profile.

I know it's a lot to ask but I will try and return the favor sometime.

Thank You

It's when you go to display settings and click advanced with the tabs for open gl, direct 3d etc... There's one called displays.
