DVI or Analog

I'm looking to upgrade my monitor and it seems to cost a bit more to get one with a DVI connection as well as an analog one. My current vid card only has the analog output but I plan on upgrading that soon also. I haven't been able to find anything that says which is truly better and why so I'm hoping for some info here. Thanks.

DVI is better.

dvi is a bit better. it isnt really apperant until you put 2 monitors side by side though. i use vga(damn you geforce2).if they are similarly priced, go dvi.

On my 19" LCD, I really can't tell the difference all that much. If I had to use the Analog connector I could live with it. The main advantage for me with the DVI is that it scales to different resolutions a little bit better, and there's no fooling around with the auto-adjust button.

The price difference between LCDs with DVI should be minimal these days. For instance at NewEgg, the cheapest 19" LCD available has both analog and DVI, so definately try to get one with both connections.
