DVI on Hyundai L90D+

What is the big difference between DVI and VGA? My L90D+ has both, i've head DVI is supposed to be more crisp in image quality, i tryed it once, but for some reason Battle Field 2 will not even show 1280x1024 res, W T F !?!?!? Yet the desktop is fine and allows normal res of 1280x1024. Is there some kind of limitation of DVI? Or is it a software glitch? Do i need to configure anything special?

That'll be a software glitch. DVI saves you the signal conversion from digital contents to analog VGA signal and back into a digital image inside the panel, and instead transmits pixel data digitally.

Ok, thx, i checked tryed it again and this time it worked fine, wow, its a big difference, the DVI seems much more crisp, the biggest difference is in the color, its seems much richer than before. Seems to run more smoothly, possibly because it no longer has to convert the signal from one format to the other, thus also there is not precision loss either.
