I have a viewsonic VPD180 flat panel monitor. Do I have to have a special video card to hook it up?
I have an adaptor from viewsonic that is a DVI to DFP connector. Do I only need to get a video card with a DVI connector?

You will need a video card that has a DVI connection on it in order to use the DVI of your monitor.
