The "Monster" DVI cable costs a lot more. That's about it. Any cheap DVI cable you get online will work the same.

You might see a difference in a really, really long DVI cable if it is better-shielded. However, you can still get *good*-quality DVI cables for at least half the price that the "Monster" ones sell for.

I don't think the added expense is justified but you may get some more "action" - chicks dig the long ball and a monster cable.

1) Monster cables are way over priced.
2) Using expensive DVI cable for a computer LCD monitor is a waste of money.
3) DVI cable that comes w/ the LCD monitor is good enough.

DVI is digital. Cable quality isn't going to really come into play for DVI. Even on regular DSUB/VGA cables I wouldn't recommend buying "premium" cables unless running a cable over 10' or running through a KVM.

LOL, I am using a cheap generic 21" (7m) DVD-D dual link cable between my Winfast A400 6800GT and my dell 2005FPw ...and I have no issues running at 1680 x 1050..

The cable costed about 20 bucks.
