I have an Apple 20 inch Cine Display and have been wanting to KVM it for a long time. I have had two KVMs in the time i have owned this display.

First one: (ghetto rigged it and got it to work, died after about a year of use)
Belkin KVM SOHO

I had sawed into it to get my Apple DVI cable to fit in it so I could not return it. Basically, i had to make it work. The USB ports specified did not work for the mouse or keyboard console. So, I ran it through the hub on the monitor through the keyboard console link with the mouse I had plugged into the apple keyboard. It worked for a while. I tried to firmware upgade and it fried itself into not working. Then I set out to buy a new one.

Second one: (same console keyboard and mouse problem and didn't even have a firmware update)
GCS1764 by IOGEAR

I cannot even list the amount of problems I had with this device. I returned it after many days of reinstallations and trouble shooting.

Now, I am KVM-less. Please share your experiences, offer advice, or recommendations.

Sadly, from what i've heard, pretty much every single DVI KVM out there has issues.

I don't think i've seen one positive review of them yet, so from my point of view...gotta live w/o them.

I'd love to use one right now, but instead i use a VGA KVM with only teh mouse keyboard hooked up, & two monitors on my small desk instead of one.

I've been trying to find a decent one (specifically DVI and USB) for quite some time. I've yet to find one that works the way I want it to, but Belkin's come the closest.
