DVI Issues with Dell 2405FP

Hi,

Just got on the hot deals for one of these units, and having some issues besides the one dead pixel. 🙁

Basically the DVI input doesnt work it goes thru post boot, but green light turns to amber at winXP logo, sorta like sleep mode. then it stays amber after reset or reboot. I have to unplug power for a bit to restart the process. I also didnt get DVI thru my old dell 1900fp, but thought that it was dead on that LCD. Could it be that the Leadtek card I have is faulty or the 6600GT bridge doesnt cut the mustard? 😉
I am thinking about upgrading the card, but a Cheap good AGP card is hard to find Now. seems like I might have to go PCI-E with a whole new system, but the budget realy isnt there...........

Anybody else have these issues or know of a fix?

Systems specs
Winxp sp2
athlon 64 2800+
VNF3-250 nforce 3 mobo 66.6 drivers with 5.10 gart driver for video playback fix
1 GB ram
leadtek 6600GT agp 81.84 drivers

Oh ya i did a search, but didnt find a thing... related to the DVI issue for the 2405, but other dell monitors did have DVI issues too..

yep set on 2,

Analog works when set to 1 and using a DVI to VGA adapter also works with 1

but who wants analog when you can have DVI 😉

Cables switched also 😉

I realy think its this 6600GT agp card with the PCI-E Bridge chips thingy, that doesnt let it sync correctly.

Im gona call leadtek next...

i'm running a 2005fpw on a 9500pro with dvi.

that would be great if you could swap another card in there
