My laptop has a DVI-I integrated port.

I can only find DVD-D cables. Will the DVD-D cable mate with my DVI-I port?

Thanks,

Why do you need to connect the laptop to the Bravia, just to watch Lost?

Concerning your comment in the first paragraph of your post, "This doesn't work...", can you explain further? The DVI-D plug as found on the end of a DVI-D cable should be fully mechanically compatible with a DVI-I input on a display. So when you say it doesn't work, I assume you mean you aren't getting a picture, not that you can't get the plug to plug in.

A DVI-I input on a display just means that the display will accept either a digital signal or an analog one over that interface. It is best to not try and pass both to the display at the same time because it can lead to contention and confusion between the host (computer) and the display as to which interface it should be driving. Trying to drive both simultaneously into the same display would make no sense. "

Found this answer on Apple Support. Can someone confirm it for me?

Yes, they are compatible. But not the other way around.
