My vid card looks to be a dvi-i and my screen looks to be dvi-d. My vid card will still acept a dvi-d connection right? The four pins around the "dash" type pin just dont get used on the vid card right?

TIA

DVI-I single link carries both digital and analog. DVI-D Single and Dual Link is digital only. So it depends on what your going to use them for.

Ok, I've got a question on this.

I connected a Hyundai LD90D+ LCD monitor to my Radeon 9800Pro using the supplied DVI-D cable. Obviously, the 9800 has a DVI-I connector.

The question is...Since I "don't really have an analog connection"...do I need to also connect the VGA cable in conjunction with the digital cable...as the LCD is capable of being switched between analog and digital signals. (I'm not sure why you would WANT to"...but that's why I'm asking.

The digital picture is BEAUTIFUL.

That's what I thought. The reason I asked was someone in another forum was complaining about "tearing" or some the "vertical line" problem that existed in some LD90D+ monitors, and it was suggested they connect both.

This is one really nice monitor for the price. No need to reply.

Thanks.
