DVI-I and DVI-D + R8500 LE and non-LE

Can someone clarify something for me?
I know that the R8500LE only supports DVI-D (cannot be hooked up to DVI to VGA), but do all non-LE R8500s have a DVI-I or are there non-LEs with only DVI-D?

Basically someone has a R8500 that they claim is a non-LE, but it has a DVI-D. Does that mean it must be a LE?
