Woot! my first post. (i'm an old time Hardocp'er and, sniff, i can't access the site at my job)

do you think it would be worth it (visually speaking) moving from an analog vga connection to the digital EVC connection that is on the back of my CRT monitor? And if so, will converting from a DVI-D to EVC(P&D) alter the image at all?

I've found a fellow that is willing to make me a cable for $60, is it a rip off?

My crt monitor is a HP p1100 and my graphics card is an ati x800pro. . .incase that would for some reason help?!

Thanks for any suggestions and advice

not sure if it'll be worth your money, but yes, you will have better quality if you ahve a dvi video card, dvi crt monitor, hooked up at both dvi ends.
