DVI-D not working

DVI-D mode does not receive a signal for my new viewsonic LCD. It works in VGA and in DVI-A modes. I tried both a DVI-I and a DVI-D cable so I don't think that is the problem. I also know that since I can run in DVI-A mode both ports on the graphics card and LCD work. I am running a Radeon 9500 Pro, I called up ATI support, they told me to escelate the problem (I hate ATI because of there support). I haven't called Viewsonic yet, but that will be my next step.

Does anyone know if I am missing something? Is there a setting somewhere to switch the signal? Is there any other test I can do to see if my card is outputting a digital signal? Has anyone else had this problem with a Radeon? Thanks in advance.
