DVI connection won't go on 6800GT

I swapped my 6800 Vanilla for a 6800GT AGP. I can get the analog connection to work but not the DVI. I have a vx2025vm monitor; this happened once before in a similar fashion when I hooked another computer to it; I couldn't get the DVI back, it took several attempts to unplug and replug the connector while the machine was on. Any idears?

See here regarding VX2025WM/DVI issues. Sadly, this is still going on. wizboy11 seems to be the local expert on this so shoot him a PM if you need help with it.
