I recently purchased a Dell 2407 LCD monitor but in my haste forgot to purchase a DVI cable to go with it. Does anyone know if the monitor comes with a cable? If not, what would people suggest. I should only need 1 or 2 m in length.

The monitor has arrived but I'm told it's only got a single link DVI cable included. I always thought that SL DVI goes up to 1920 x 1080. As the 2407 is 1920 x 1200 isn't the cable insufficient for the monitors needs?

Max resolution for a single-link DVI is 2212 x 1243 (widescreen), so you'll be fine.

Anyways, you should be fine.

You'll note in the same article, under "Technical Discussion," that the practical max resolution is 2212 x 1243. :)

Fair enough. However, I have never seen a monitor that has over 1900x1200 that is still single link or a recommended 2212x1243. Atleast with LCD's.
