DVD's only play in MPC

MPC plays DVD's fine, but in PowerDVD, I have no sound. Sound settings in PowerDVD look right to me.
Also trying to play DVD's in WMP 10 wont play at all and it just gets stuck on the hourglass.

What's going on?

Your missing codecs. I use K-Lite Mega Pack from here. You may not still be able to use your programs with it but it will install a program Media Player Classic that will

PowerDVD's a resource hog... Really no need for it.

I misread your OP but I have same setup with Power DVD 7 and WMP 10 and those programs dont seem to use the intalled codec properly or at all and so they end up not being able to run properly and hang or missing sound or video. They apparently weren't made to run everything so I just use MPC in those cases.
