When my windows media player goes full screen the DVD movie that is playing doesn't. It just stays at a fixed aspect ratio. Pixal for pixal. Only the player goes full screen not the actual video. I can get it to go like 200 percent but not any bigger than that. Does anyone know how to get it to fit my entire widescreen monitor?

Right click on the video -> Video size -> Fit Video to Player on Resize. Then right click and choose Full Screen (or just hit Alt+Enter).

edit: or just get a better media player... DivX Player is my favourite.

I did all those settings before. Nothing seems to work. Thought maybe there might be something somewhere else not as easy to find. Checked in my video card drivers also.

Divx plays DVD's too? Well shoot I'll just use that then. Didn't realize that thanks.

Edit: Do you have to pay for divx to play DVD's because the free option doesn't seem to play them.
