DVDROM eating CDs?!?!?!

Ok My DVD is eating my CDs. Whenever I install something, or transfer the files from (large amounts of data that keep the CD spinning for a long time) my DVD rom makes alot of noise, and occasionally Ill find what looks like stress cracks in the center of the CD. It actually cracked one of them in 3 places half way into the CD! Has anyone had this problem with Toshiba drives before? Its the 10x tray loading model. Ill repost with the exact model later. Anyone have any ideas what to do? I dont want to break every CD I have trying to install them.
 
Yeah send it back to the dealer and write nasty letters to Toshiba for ruining your CDs. Hey maybe if you complain enough you'll get them replaced.
