DVDRip Times?

Can someone tell me the average time it takes to rip a DVD using a 12x or 16x drive. Also what should I look for when buying a DVD drive in regard to ripping? Thanks

My Pioneer 115 (16x) will rip a movie in 1/7 the time it takes to play it. I would guess that that is 7x. I've read that Toshiba's only rip at 2x, and never saw anything to contradict that. The Toshiba may be a better choice however considering that it can rip audio faster and I believe it can read subchannel data.

my generic dvd rebage of poineer 16x (115mod) can do 14x rip if the movie unlock.but normally 4.5 start and end at 11x so everage around 7.5x

by the way if you system have any i/o controller and connected to any device like dvd room of cdroom or hardrive than it will very slow around 2x

is it a few hours? i have a o/c celeron at 950. how long is it on your systems, if you can post your specs too would help. thanks
