I just downloaded the trial version of DVDFab9 Media Player and I must say it looks eerily similar to the free version of "FreeSmith". I am guessing this is not a coincidence. Anybody know anything about this?
It's funny though. FreeSmith is free. DVDFab9 Media Player costs $50.00.
Why do software developers think that infinite software has as much value as a finite concrete physical device like a hardware Blu-Ray player. I would love to know the thoughts behind these ridiculous software prices. Maybe we can all sign a petition and ask Valve to host some of these packages so that people would be inclined to purchase versus pirate the software.
I know that they have to pay some kind of licensing royalties to Blu-Ray disc association but I don't know how much. Anybody?
