i'm running a dual boot with win2k and winxp....i bought a dvd drive, installed it and the first few days both os'es recognized the drive but i only installed the decoding software in winxp...now when i boot up and in the first message underneath the processor speed, ram, ide devices says 'missing secondary ide 80 pin controller'...or something to that extent

but in winxp the dvd drive works fine, it's in win2k that the drive is not recognized as dvd...it just says cd rom but under device manager it says device is ok...what is going on? you think the message will disappear if i install power dvd in win2k?
