DVD-X Copy help needed

Can someone out there help? We bought a new HP A430N, which has a DVD burner, and were told that we needed a program to get around the copyright problem. We bought the DVD-X Copy Express program, and have nothing but problems getting it to work. The program installed correctly, but we receive error messages (unable to read DVD, and error occured reading sectors) when the original DVD is being read.

The store where we bought the program is useless, and the company that makes the program won't respond.

I bought DVD X Copy when I first bought a burner. Never could get the software to work. DVDShrink, which is freeware, is much more reliable - there's a long thread with download links in the hot deals forum.
