DVD won't recognize audio discs

My CDR-W will, tho...any ideas?
The DVD shows up in the control panel & my computer, but as a cd-rom. Is this normal?
My pc is also taking an extremely long time to boot...don't know if that has anything to do with this or not.

Never mind...I figgered it out. It seems it doesn't want to share power via a pigtail.
