Dvd watching and burning software?

hey I got a new dvd burner with the cpu I built but I don't know of any good dvd software and I was also wondering if there were any free ones out there that work good? if anyone has any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!
 
dvd decrypter and dvd shrink = great/free for burning. windvd/ powerdvd for playing cost, don't know of anything free.

Right on the nose with your advice but I just use DVD shrink 3.2 for everthing the rip the encoding and then the burn using nero 6.6 ultra through shrink.
