DVD Upgrade Dillema

I want to get a DVD drive for my computer to take advantage of Dolby Digital audio with my speakers (Creative Labs SoundWorks DTT2500). My question is whether to get a DVD drive and a DVD decoder card. I know that my video card (GeForce2 MX) has built in dvd decoding, so video would not be a problem. I was wondering if instead of getting a decoder card if I should just upgrade my soundcard to an SB Live! 5.1 card which has AC-3 (Dolby Digital) output.

I would recommend getting the DVD drive and the 5.1 soundcard instead... Your video card already can decode the DVD video for you, so all you're missing is the digital sound... By upgrading the soundcard instead, you also upgrade your music or gaming experience in the process, rather than spending money for the decoder card which is only for movies...
