Dvd Stuck Somewhere In My Xbox

At the least, I hope this is comical to somebody else, but I was watching a DVD in my Xbox, and when I pressed the eject button, No DVD was in the DVD-ROM drive, so I shook the Xbox a bit and didn't hear anything moving around.
I put in an xbox game and it made a grinding sound so I quickly ejected it. I then rebooted and it reloaded the DVD to the title page and plays it fine.
Cutting to the chase, how can I get my DVD out without breaking my Xbox...I'm a complete Noob to the innards of the xbox so step by step advice would be most helpful. Thanks for any help and let me know of any threads I can bump for you as thanks.

Tip: Google is your friend.

I believe there are little rubber pieces over the screws that you need to remove, on the bottom of the Xbox. One of my friends got a disc stuck in their Xbox as well. It should be fairly easy to get open. Just use a screwdriver.

i opened my bro's up before its quiet sad what the hardware is when you open it up ur like wtf??? m8.

well on the button there is a couple of screws i think you need a speacial screwdriver which my dad happened to have behind the sticker/s there is one/s so look for em. than you just open it up its basically the same as a pc from there. grab the optical drive out open it out recover your disk ( we all know you got a dvd full of pr0n stuck in there lol jk ) put it back togather put the optical drive back into the xbox. than put the case back on tighten screws and its all back to normal.

thanks for the help so far, what kind of screw driver do I need and where can I get one, my normal flat-edge and phillips aren't fitting apparently, thanks
