Hi guys,

Ok so here's the deal, I have a whole bunch of pics and avi's from a snowboard trip. Since I'm the only one with a DVD burner someone has asked me to create a DVD with all the pictures and movies on it.

I'd love to just drag and drop using Nero and give them a disk, but the thing is each person paid me around $2-5 (~25 people went) so I want to give them something nice in return.

Is there a program that can make really nice Intro menu's that'll spice up the DVD?

Any input on this would be great!

Thanks!

Ulead DVD Workshop is better - less glitches and a much more intuitive interface. A cheaper alternative is DVD MovieFactory 4 (commercial editor, but nicely designed, kinda like a Mac application) Personally, I HATE that DVD-Lab program...

i have questions in this same area, so i'm gonna ask here instead of opening a new thread...

how about being able to use freeware stuff? i have avidemux (to turn an avi into a mpg 2) and cd burner pro 3 ( to burn to dvd)...

i can burn the dvd but cannot play it on a normal, component, dvd palyer... cdbp3 says to just create a video_ts and an audio_ts and put the mpg file in the video_ts... but this doesn't read on the dvd player...

i've been searching and reading but don't seem to be able to find the connection between generating the mpeg 2 file and putting it on the dvd so a component dvd player can read it...

fyi i'm using dvd -r disks that came with the plextor drive from bby a couple weeks ago... is that an issue?

cubeless,
I don't know of freeware to do all these conversions... Best advice is to spend some time on www.videohelp.com, and see what new tools they're recommending these days.
