I throw in my DVD into the Plextor DVD drive.
Open DVD-Shrink.
Hit backup.
It begins backing up, gets to about 55mb (so like 3 seconds), then the DVD-Shrink Decryption window just dissappears with no errors or clues. Before this it was giving me an error, then i restarted, and now im here.

Any ideas?

Use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD to your drive first, and then use Shrink to open the folder containing the VOB files.

Which disc is it? It may have a newer protection scheme that may require DVDDecrypter (last version) or DVDFab Decrypter.

That's how I do all mine. Very rare that I have a problem, usually only because of scratched discs. My dad used to use Shrink for all of it, had constant issues with protection and such. I've converted him over to my way, less issues now.

I use dvd shrink for all of it. Whenever it has a copy protection issue (its always at the beginning if anywhere) I just close it, reopen the disc, and retry it and it always works the second time flawlessly.
