DVD screenshots?

I'm wondering how to take screenshots of a DVD during playback. I tried my trusty Analogx capture but was surprised to see a black screen. Ran PowerDVD in a window and took another capture, the PowerDVD window still black. I'd like to take a shot or two from some of my DVD's for use as a background, i take it theres some encoding or something causing the capture program not to work. Any suggestions?
 
PowerDVD takes a screenie (only save one this way) when you press C. Open MSPaint and press CTRL+V to paste it into Paint. Save as a .bmp. You will have to convert it to a .jpg if ya plan on posting it elsewhere. What I did was make a seperate folder to save pics to (can be done in the configuration settings window) and now when I press C it saves all of the screenies to that folder.
 
cheers, i huit ctrl+c by habit instead of just C and there was the options for it 😱 can select to save straight to file aswell... rtfm hey 😱
