DVD-RW vs. DVD+RW???

My company just bought some computers with a pioneer DVD-RW....what's the difference between this and DVD+RW???

They are just different format... I personally think DVD-R/W is better.. it's SOOO MUCH cheaper, it's 1/2 the price and work just as well if not better... But really watch for cheap and junk DVD-R/W media though... I recommand Pioneer DVD-R (sold everywhere)... DVD-R MEDIA IS LIKE WHAT THEY SAID YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR..

I would not recommend DVD+RW or DVD-RW per se. Both work in about 2/3rds of DVD players.

You should expect in the range of 90% compatibility from DVD-R or DVD+R. Note that first generation DVD+RW drives don't burn DVD+R so if you get one it should be a 2nd generation drive. DVD-R drives a bit cheaper though, as is the media.

So for your purposes, either a current generation DVD-R/W or current DVD+R/W drive will do.
