DVD RW drive help

I've put in both DVD+R/Ws and DVD-R/Ws. Hell, I've even tried using a different drive from a different manufacturer. They're both Dual Layer drives. No matter what Windows reads the DVDs I put in as CDs. I've tried different brands of discs as well. I'm currently running anti-spy and anti-virus apps seeing if that fixes the problem. My mobo has an nForce 4 SLI chipset. If you need anymore information, just tell me and I'll do my best to give it to you.

Thank you in advance,

Where does it say they are cds? Are they blank? Does Windows see the drives as DVD drives? Did it work before, but not now? Only drive on the ide channel? How is it jumpered? Sure the data cable is good?

When the select action screen shows up, it says 'Blank CD' the discs are blank. The drive reads DVD movies and games alright. I'll move the jumpers around when I get home. I'll also try a different cable. WinXP does see the drives as DVD-RW/DVD-RAM drives.
