DVD-RW burn fail help!!

Hi.. I'm new to this forum but just got my first DVD burner NuTech DDW-082. I am trying to back up some old movies onto a DVD-RW using DVD-decrypter, DVD shrink, and Nero 6.0. But no matter what I do I always get "failed burn speed" message even burning at 1x. I can burn data/audio CD perfectly at max speed. Is it the media (trying to burn onto Emtec DVD-RW) or something else? Thank you in advance for all your help.

Do you have the latest updates for nero? If not, get those. Otherwise, try different media.

Check to see if DMA is enabled for the drive in Device Manager. Try burning to standard DVD+-R media to see if the error occurs, to rule out problems with the RW disc.
