Whats the best dvd-rom out in the market right now? preferably slot-load. Looking to upgrade my dvd-rom right now and I was thinking of upgrading to a toshiba slot-load but whats the best out there? and probably clonecd compatible

Most people here would tell you Pioneer or Toshiba, and many will say that Toshiba is quieter.

The Pioneer drive is slot-load, BTW.

<< i was wondering how the pioneer 106s was? >>

it's quieter than the 105 version( x16/40 as well), if that's any help! 🙂

I think Matsushita made my Aopen as the buffer size is 512K compared to Pioneers 256K...all I know is it is a lot quieter then the Pioneer...Heard them both in action. Why Pioneer would let another Company sell a quieter DVDROM drive by them would be silly!
