dvd-rom settings

i just put together a new system and when i run sandra to test my lite-on 16x dvd-drive, it says that it is 3x instead of 16x and gives the following warning:
w5206: low disk index. check DMA bus-mastering is enabled.
does anybody know what this means and how to fix it?

it means that you should enable DMA under device manager.
