DVD-ROM/RW recommendation

I'm looking for a good DVD/ CD-RW combo burner for my new computer. I'd like it to be black so it can match my Sonata case. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get? 48x24x48x16 is what i'm looking at right now. Could be a little faster or a little slower. I'm particularly curious to hear abouthow much noise the drive makes and perhaps if it's quick at detecting the cd when a new one is inserted.

Any suggestions?

I have the Samsung SM348B 48x24x48x16x combo drive and it's very quiet and solid.

Lite-on has one for around 60.00 dollars. I've used Lite-on DVD and CDR-W drives and both have worked well for me.

I recently picked up a Mitsumi DVD burner for $200 CAD (~$137 USD). It's a black 4x (16x CD-R) +/- drive and I can't even hear the thing work.

I was amazed at how quite it was! Also in a Sonata case...

my Lite-On 48x16x48x16 is one of the best optical drives i've ever used. fairly quiet, super quick, and seems to burn all my blank CDR media at 48x, which even my Lite-On 52x24x52 can't do. it's $51 shipped @ Newegg. i'd definitely buy it again.
