DVD Rom not showing up in Bios

I had used the dvd drive a couple of days ago, and it no longer showed up under my computer... Since I just set up dual boot with Vista/Windows7 I decided to check the bios to see if it was still there. It isn't. Under DVD/Cdrom it says none. Any ideas?

Drive died?

I've only seen a few laptop DVD drives die but it does happen sometimes.

But before you perform last rites, try reseating it to make sure the connection is good.
