DVD-Rom loading

Is it possible to Disable my DVD of reading everytime I hit My Computer or when my computer loads..not only is it loud, but it delays and affects preformance.

Yup, don't leave CDs or DVDs in your drives. Saves wear and tear on both discs and drives.
