I got the PINE 16x DVD-ROM when it was on sale for $20 after MIR. I sent out the MIR on 8/19/2002 and I got my checks on 10/18/2002.

Yes, the BB rebate was relatively prompt. I just got the one from BusLink. Not sure if I had to call in on that one. Drive itself is fine. (A bit "clunky" but plays DVD's just fine).

 
um, there is only one $20 listed that hasn't expired yet that I can tell.
the BB one says exp 9/28, am I missing something?

It is in the Best Buy newspaper ad today. So, unless their ad is in error, it is correct as posted.
 
i suggest you all get off your butts and go to best buy. yes you'll have to brush your teeth and comb your hair but you'll probably get the rebates printed at the register. and if not you can raise hell in person instead of just putting up silly emoticons.

like i said, drag your butt down to best buy. both rebates are valid print out at the register, and neither expire until 10/26.
 
Hey guys, this deal was advertised in my local paper (Denver) and both rebates do print out at the register. And by the way, the drive was a liteon 163d I believe....🙂

i got the 163 as well. dont' know anything about it though.
 
Great deal! And I almost bought a regular CD drive for more! Yes--both rebates printed out at the store.

Edit: The sticker on the drive itself says "Model LTD-163"

They also had a progressive scan DVD player for $99.99 CH-DVD 500. I can't find it at all online but you can see the ad for it here. Click on Retail Goods at left then Electronics then the 2nd Best Buy.

The ad for the DVD-ROM is 3rd Best Buy and you can zoom on it.
 
I stopped by the BB in Atlanta, and they have it for 59.99 - 20 MIR = 39.99. Do both rebates just automatically print at register or is it not available in Atlanta?

ooh i got that as well. it's been dying recently. i think mine was a 12x from CC. doesnt read cd-rws anymore. makes funny noise sometimes. scratched up my simpsons dvd.
 
Yea, I got a LTD-163. Also 2 $20 rebate forms printed out at the register. One rebate goes to miami which requires the original UPC, and the other goes to Calais which requires a photocopy of the UPC. Hope this help you guys.
