Well, i figured that since my PC will be hooked up to my HT system, i might as well keep my DVDs on it. That way i won't have to deal with the actual discs - they will remain in mint condition along with the boxes. And besides, i have a few hundered GIGs of space available, so i might as well put it to use However, i'm still trying to figure out if learning how to do it is worth it for me. I mean, how good is the quality? I will have a pretty good system, with a CRT projector and all, so even a slight decline in quality would probably be noticable. And, how much time will it take me to learn how to achieve best results? I took a look at Doom9, it looks like my skills will determine the quality of my rips. The good news is that i learn software easily, i've been into computers ever since i was a kid. But what troubles me is that Doom9 mentions that it will be MONTHS before i can even begin learning how to use the most powerful apps. If it will take me many months just to learn how to achieve true DVD quality, it surely isn't worth it. A month or two maybe, but not triple that.
