DvD Ripping

What software is best for DvD ripping?

I've tryed Flask and Xmpeg and nether of them seem to work, are there plugins for them that i need to get before they'll rip a DvD?

I'm using the newest DivX ;-) codec, i just can't seem to get any i've tryed thus far to not-crash;

I dont know if your gonna get much help around here, as to most that is a forum of piracy, and agenst the forum rules. also I would like to point out this is genral hardware and not the correct forum to ask such a question in. try other sites perhaps a few divX sites / forums.

it's for backing up my pesonal DvD colection. i have a tendency to endup with scratched DvDs/CDs beacse of the little ones that run around here;

you're right about this being the wrong forum, i'll move my question over to the soft-ware forum.

and the Divx boards are like reading the same post over and over, much like a linux bbs, it's jsut full of people who are to afrade to think diferently lest someone makefun of them. AT tends to have people willing to speak there mind... even if they have to speak it on a PG level 😉

as longs as its legal 😉 sorry if I was a bit harsh its just the forums get a few to many piracy threads these days :|

And a lot of people get paranoid for no reason.

There's nothing illegal about making a copy of a title you own. Some people here forget that people do actually own software, DVDs, CDs, DC games, etc. -- and making copies of them for personal backup use is not illegal.
