DVD Recorder

I currently have Dishnet, and I am looking for a P or DVR/DVD recorder combo that will be compatible with it. I want to be able to run my cable directly into it, and record from the PVR directly to DVD. Dishnet offers no combo, and I know I could just get a seperate DVD recorder...but I don't wanna!

you're not going to find something you can jack right up to your satellite dish if it's not from Dishnet.

Will I have to go through Dishnet's receiver? Or can the cable from sat. dish go directly into it?

buy the 300 series receiver from dish and get one of the recorders from humax or pioneer or call up dish and ask them if humax or pioneer works with their service

Do some research first, my aunt tried connecting a DVD recorder to her DVR and Macrovision is in the way.

Thanks. Thats what I'm afraid of happening 🙁 I wonder why Dishnet does not make a DVR/DVD combo...they're all the rage now!

I have dish network and am doing what your talking about to do my sons cartoons from the PVR to dvd.
I have already tried to take the hdd out of it but when I hook it to the computer it tells me I have to format the hdd and I dont want to be doing that so my idea of just plugging it in and taking out the files went down the tubes so I bought THIS DVD RECORDER HERE.

All you have to do is read the instructions so you can get the wierd dvd recording prcedure down, hook your audio and s-video cable to the back of the recorder, stick in a disk and record the stuff off the PVR.

This model BTW records or DVD+R BUT reads both -/+ disks so it will play all media. I picked it because of this for I have alot of home movies I recorded from vhs and edited through my pc recorded on both dvd formats. I hate it when you buy a dvd player that will play either or but not both but this one does. Only complaint is that it didnt record with both formats because I have a butt load of dvd-r's laying around 😛

But this I am guessing what you wanting to do right and if so it is what I been doing and it works.

This is close enough to what I want to do. I was hoping Dishnet make a PVR/DVD combo, but they don't. So I will go this way, thank you for the suggestion.
