I just ordered a DVD home video player, and it can record in DVD-RAM format.

I wonder, if I purchased a computer DVD player like Pioneer DVR-108, which can read DVD-RAM format, can I record a TV program on the DVD-RAM disc from my DVD home player, and put it in a computer with a DVD-RAM reader like the Pioneer DVR-108, and burn an ISO (or extract the video on the disc somehow), and re-burn the video on the computer in DVD-R format? Because I want to backup the TV programs I recorded on my home video player to DVD-R, that is why I wonder if it's possible.

Thanks

If it's recorded in MPEG2 format than it's no problem. A lot of players use a format called VRO which must be converted first before it can be put onto a DVD-R. More info can be found here: www.videohelp.com
