dvd-+r/w drives.. multi region??

For playback?

You need a hacked firmware in all cases. Regioning is irrelevent to recording, so it doesn't matter there.
 
yeah, i meant for playback. i guess that's closer to what i meant, has anyone hacked any firmwares for anything out there. There's a page w/ all this info and links to firmware.... i need to look that page up again. Altho, slashdot had a little blurb that would possibly eliminate the need of a firmware 🙂

 
heh, yeah, i found the page after hitting goolge 🙂 I really only need it for 2-3 dvd's i have.. heh. i'm lookin at that sony dvd+- drive.. i'm afraid nothing will come from it (want it mainly for the 4x dvd-r).. but it won't be for quite a while so no matter.. i'll hand on to my old toshiba when i need it 😉
