DVD+R media questions

Hey folks...just bought an NEC 4x DVD+RW drive and I've got some questions. It should be here next week sometime.

Now the drive itself was cheap but the media I have noticed is expensive...the cheapest DVD+R media I've been able to find was at newegg for $1.49 each but it's a crappy brand and doesn't work in many burners. Naturally I'm going to avoid it.

So fill me in folks...what brands of DVD+R media are considered good, and where can I get them relatively inexpensively? I'm interested probably in buying a 25 pack or a 50 pack.

I found some Ritek for a decent price, but I don't know if it's good or not.

Thanks, cheers

Fatwallet.com, Hot Deals on Anandtech, or read the ads in your Sunday paper. In the past month I've gotten....

Verbatim Data Life 4x....30 for $34 at Office Depot.
Fuji 2.4x...50 for $60 at Best Buy.

Wait for a deal, then buy all you can afford. $1.00 to $1.50 is a good deal for DVD+Rs, so get used to it until prices start to fall 🙂
