DVD-R / DVD+R How to decide which to use?

It really doesn't matter. Although last thing I knew DVD-R was just a tad bit more compatible. Like if you have an older DVD player for example there is an 85% chance that - R will play on it and only like a 82% chance that + R will play on it. It's like 3% or something.

DVD+R FTW :)

Bitsetting FTW! Seriously, since bitsetting finalizes the disc so that it's seen as DVD-ROM media, it provides the best compatibility versus any standalone format. Bitsetting is a feature not found on every DVD burner, so you'll obviously need a drive that supports it.

Thanks, I did not think "type" setting sounded right. :p

Maybe you're thinking of "Booktype"? At least that's what the Liteon bitsetting utility is called. :)
