DVD+R DL Lightscribe

I have a dvd-r lightscribe and it's worthless. The old sharpie replaced the lightscribe capabilities due to 1. The outcome of the lighscribe not being that impressive 2. lightscribe discs are $$.

I disagree. I use LightScribe to make custom restore discs for my computer clients, really looks professional with the semi-holographic look and their name custom-printed on the disc:

Nah, Nero is pretty wimpy. I got a great program called SureThing:

It's a bit pricey but it works great. Make sure you install the LightScribe host software too:

I also get new designs from the LightScribe website, like the gears one in the picture:

They update them on a regular basis and sometimes they come out looking really nice. Here are my rules with LightScribe:

1. 2 burns for best black, 3 burns if you have time. 1 burn is too light.
2. Photos stink, don't bother.
3. Text and vector graphics (like Illustrator or business logos) look great.
