Can someone else? I can't find any related topic about this problem.

My Pioneer A05 burns find.. but when I play the DVD on the regular + laptop player, toward the end it has problems and even crash. I have done many copies trying different things. Burning at 1x and still it does the same thing. I use nero and after burn it shows success. I tried have the latest firmware and everything.

Any idea why this is?

Thanks in advance.

I have tried a couple of medias. But same problem. One of them is Memorex. It can burn up to 2x but it still has problem when I had it do 1x.

It's a common problem with burning. I even saw a recent DVD burner list a technology specifically for increasing burn quality at the end of the disc, so it's industry acknowledged. At the same rpm there's just more disc passing under the head when doing the outside and it requires writing faster and altering power, etc.

You can try more expensive media which is reputed to help. Personally I just don't burn all the way up to the edge anymore. I'm nearing 300 sides burned (I use double sided) and having a corrupt file at the end is by far the most common error I saw before adopting that. Anyway try a more general search, it's not your drive specifically, and include the serious burning sites if you want more info.

wow, all this time and they still have this problem? I thought it's just my sux PC. But when I don't do anything it still get this problem.
