Can someone clear something up for me?
I've got a Pioneer DVR104 drive that can do DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW. I hear that Windows XP has built in, basic R/RW capabilities. How does the OS know which type of writing, R vs RW, to do? Does it know when I have a DVD vs a CD? Do I need to load any other software or can I get by with the built in support.
The drive can with some value-add software, but do I need it?
