DVD question

Is it possible to take about 4 gigs of vcd movie files (DAT or mpeg) and then put them all on a single single dvd? If so, do i need a program for that?

I think it depends on the player, but some can read "DVD VCD"s. There are some guides actually at www.dvdrhelp.com
