DVD Problem

I built a new PC for a friend that has the following setup:
MSI KT7 Pro2A with T-Bird 1200 , 256 Ram
Elsa Gladiac 32 2MX
Pioneer DVD-115 16X EIDE
SBL Value
Windows ME

Using the DVD software that came with the card the movie locks up after a few minutes of
play. The player locks up if I pause or do anthing while playing. The picture quality is
great when it does play. The DMA setting is cheked and I see no conflicts.
Any ideas on a solution ? This is the first DVD drive I installed.

Do u have the latest video card drivers and the VIA 4in1 4.28v drivers? Other than that i'm not sure, I'm also having difficulties with my drive...
