DVD Problem

My DVD freezes up during a scene in a movie...any kindof scene. Its a creative DVD 8X drive. I have played another movie on it and still did the same thing. What should i do any upgrades? Or should i throw this dvd drive out i mean it was expensive and now its giving me these problems. It is maybe 4 months old...hmmm thanks

Another question is what causes a DVD to freeze. I know smile and she is using a DX3 board and running on a celeron 500 with 96M of RAM so her system is plenty to run DVD's. Thanks.

dirty drive or disc can freeze playback.
